Karin Stögner will give the 2024 Robert Fine Memorial Lecture:
“Antisemitism and Sexism after 7 October – the Intersectionality of Ideologies”
A professor at the University of Passau in Germany, Karin is the world’s foremost theorist on antisemitism, feminism and intersectionality.
Hadley Freeman will have a conversation on stage with David Hirsh about the current state of antisemitism in Britain. She wrote a storming and darkly funny column in the Guardian through the Corbyn years, has written widely on antisemitism and now writes at The Times.
Our two prizes will be awarded:
The LCSCA Book Prize. This document gives details of the £1000 LCSCA Book Prize, and how to nominate somebody.
The Pete Newbon Award for the greatest contribution to the public understanding of
antisemitism. This document sets out what Pete did to contribute to the public understanding of antisemitism and why the London Centre has decided to honour him in this way. This document gives details of the Pete Newbon Award and how to nominate somebody.
There will be a free glass of wine or two for ticket holders.
There will be a brief account of the progress of the London Centre and an opportunity to contribute to its work.
This is the annual set piece event of the London Centre for the Study of Contemporary Antisemitism and it will be hosted, in person, by the University of Westminster. There will not be a live feed, but we will publish highlights on video on our YouTube channel.
