Florian Hartleb
Dr. Florian Hartleb is Associate Professor for international relations at Modul University Vienna and an Affiliated Researcher at the Austrian Center for Intelligence, Propaganda and Security Studies.
He earned his doctorate in political science at the University of Passau in 2004 with a study on right- and left-wing populism. His research focuses on populism, extremism, terrorism, and contemporary antisemitism, with particular expertise on lone-actor violence and radicalisation in digital contexts.
Dr. Hartleb advises European policymakers, has contributed to official investigations of terrorist attacks, and publishes extensively in academic and policy-oriented outlets.
