Pamela Walker
Dr. Pamela J. Walker is a professor of history at Carleton University, Ottawa Canada. Pamela is an historian of modern British history and women’s and gender history. She is the author of Pulling the Devil’s Kingdom Down: The Salvation Army in Victorian Britain (University of California Press) and many articles about gender and Christian evangelicalism. She is the associate director for research at Carleton University’s Zelikovitz Centre for Jewish Studies. She is active in the Reacting to the Past Consortium which promotes game-based pedagogy. In 2019, Pamela was awarded the Brilliancy Prize for innovative teaching. She is a research fellow at the Institute for the Study of Global Antisemitism and Policy. She is an executive board member of the Network of Engaged Canadian Academics, a Canadian faculty organization that combats antisemitism and promotes academic freedom and viewpoint diversity.
