Stefan Christoph

Dr. Stefan Christoph is a political scientist and postdoctoral researcher at the University of Passau. He is an investigator in the EU-Horizon funded project Tackling Conspiracy Theories by Fostering Resilience and Democratic (Self-)Efficacy (TaCT-FoRSED). He researches conspiracism in different European countries and democratic ways to deal with conspiracy thinking. His research interests are conspiracy thinking, political theory and history of ideas, democratic theory, civic education, and far-right and terrorist ideology.
He earned his PhD in 2024 at the University of Regensburg with his thesis about Conspiracy Ideology in Democracies where he also pointed out the deep links between antisemitism and conspiracism. He is one of the editors in the upcoming book series Conspiracy Theories in Democracies at Nomos publishing house.
