Talia Morstead

Talia Morstead is a PhD student studying health psychology at the University of British Columbia. Her research examines how stress and coping processes unfold over time, and how these processes contribute to both physical and psychological health. Motivated by the surge in antisemitism following the October 7th terrorist attacks—and the particular salience of this phenomenon at institutions of higher education—she embarked on a study examining the psychosocial ramifications for Jewish students. Since publishing results from this work in the journal Stress & Health, she has continued to consider the health impacts of antisemitism at the individual and population level, and how a stress and coping paradigm can provide insight into these effects.
