Torkel Brekke

Torkel Brekke is a Norwegian scholar and writer. He studied languages and the history of religions and did his doctoral degree at the University of Oxford in 1999. He is currently affiliated with MF Norwegian School of Religion, Theology and Society and the Centre for Research on Extremism (C-REX) at the University of Oslo as well as the liberal think tank Civita. In the past he has worked at the University of Oxford and the Peace Research Institute Oslo (PRIO) and has also been adjunct professor at the University of Copenhagen and the University of South Florida. He has published extensively on the relationship between ideologies, identities and conflict and his most recent book is Antisemitism and Social Democracy, under publication with Cambridge University Press.
